FUNDING & CONSTRUCTION

The Korean War United Nations Veterans Memorial Park Foundation in the US, and The Korean War UN Veterans Memorial Park Preparatory Committee in Korea are responsible for raising funds and construction.

The estimated budget for Phase 1 is approximately 20 billion Korean won (KRW; $15 million), excluding the cost of the land.

Raising the funds is as important as the Memorial project itself. We want to please the graceful souls of the fallen by a successful nationwide campaign, expecting hundreds of thousands or a million of Koreans to join the effort. Koreans seldom forget favors they receive, we expect to have a great response.

Every Korean who understands the origins of the peace and freedom they enjoy is requested to take part. Whether it’s a modest 10,000 KRW ($7.40) or a considerable sum of 1 billion KRW ($720,000), most Koreans will join the campaign to thank the fallen for the freedom and prosperity. It will be a rare opportunity for many Koreans to take the opportunity to thank the fallen.

This project aims to encourage all Koreans to actively participate in the fundraising campaign to honor veterans. Driven by this belief, the organizers are investing significant time, effort, and material resources to establish the Korean War UN Veterans Memorial Park.
